Security is a buzz word in todays world of uncertainities. When it comes to cyberworld, this is more prevalent since the threat is not visible and more damage causing.

In order to be safe and secure, we need to be aware about the trends in the cyber world and its security situations. In this blog, I will be sharing insignts on few of these topics.

Dominating AI
AI is now deployed in every field. We have to face the AI in one or the other form based on our extent of exposure and usage of cyber world starting from banking to simple search suggestions. AI is designed to watch our every move in a expectation to help later with better support and responses to imporve user experience. But this may also used to trigger fake responses or Email suggestions to extract information. We need to be very vigilant on identifying and differentiating these threats by basic common sense before falling prey.

Passwords –> Passkeys/certificates
For protecting the information in any databases or authorised access, we used to use passwords in past but presently passwords are easily broken by various hacking techniques due to its limitations like it is fixed, predictable etc. In order to protect us from this threat, We are now using passkeys which is only know between the two involved parties and always be random that can be generated only when it is needed. These passkeys can be only used on time and next time it will be invalid with a definite time frame. We have start practicing this methods for our enhanced security in the cyber world.

Fakes – Photos,videos, audios
Since we are using social media at a full extent to a level where we are the creating a complete replica in the cyber world. This replica is leaving a foot print that can be used by many hackers to fake our identity using fakes. This fakes can be recreating a photo or video with information which was not there at that moment. This will lead to lot of confusion even it may damage the individual’s reputation to a unrepairable extent. So we should be very much secure with our social media presence by filtering our social media circle and ensure only the trusted circle will have access to your replica.
